Oil mist eliminators are devices that remove oil droplets that form in the air during industrial processes involving rotating machinery such as machining, oilers, turbines, and gearboxes. These droplets can cause health, safety, and environmental problems, as well as reduce the efficiency and lifespan of equipment. Oil mist eliminators use different methods to separate oil from air, such as centrifugation, filtration, electrostatic, or gravity. The separated oil can be recovered and reused, reducing waste and costs.
Technical characteristics
C.O.M.S. (Contec Oil Mist Separators) series Oil Mist Eliminators are used for large compressors, gas and steam turbines, generators and other equipment equipped with oil systems. They ensure clean, oil-free exhaust air. 99.98% of solid and liquid particles and aerosols down to 0.1 microns are removed and lubricating oil can be recovered. The COMS high-efficiency filtration system prevents the emission of oil mist into the atmosphere and thus ensures technically clean and oil-free exhaust air. In addition, due to the coalescing effect, the lubricating oil, including all its additives, is recovered and recycled in the process.
